Sustainability

Our Environment

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Broadland Drinks. We are passionate about driving the low-carbon agenda and we do this by offering innovative packaging and product solutions. We regularly monitor our scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions to ensure we stay on track.

Lower carbon footprint formats of bag-in-box, cans, and the new Frugalpac paper bottle.

Production of British made wines (wines from fermenting grape concentrate) which typically have a 25% lower carbon footprint than imported wines.
Our wastewater treatment plant cleans our wastewater onsite, saving tonnes of carbon emissions every year by cutting down on HGV movements.
We have installed 1000 new 500w roof-mounted solar panels.
Zero waste to landfill with recycling for our metal, card, glass and plastic and the remaining waste being turned into fuel.
All our cardboard is from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited sources or is from 100% recycled material.

All our on-site forklifts are now electric.

Projects in Progress:

We are on track to eliminate the use of fossil fuels from our site by end of 2025.
Carbon sequestration mechanism for our fermentation facility.
We are part of the Manufacture 2030 Initiative.
Packaging weight reduction initiatives.
